4.  Mr. Jayanto N. Choudhury , Trustee










Mr. Jayanto retired in May 2015 as Director General, National Security Guard, (India's federal counter-terrorist force) after 37 years in the Indian Police Service. Earlier he was Director General of Police, Assam. Prior to this had served in the Intelligence Bureau of the government of India (like the FBI in the US) for over a quarter century mostly in states of the Northeast region of India, and in W. Bengal. On deputation to the Ministry of External Affairs, he has served at the Embassy of India, Washington DC. Awards include the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service.Post retirement he has worked with the Public Health Foundation of India as Vice-President and was an Independent Director on the Board of Gas Authority of India Limited. Currently he is on the Board of Trustees of Mission Smile that focuses on providing corrective surgery to children born with cleft defects. He is also on the Board of CENERS-K a think tank that addresses strategic issues relating to East and North-East India 

  1. Mr. Narayan Kumar, Chairman







              



Mr. Narayanan Kumar is the Chairman and Trustee of VisionSpring Foundation. He is Vice Chairman of The Sanmar Group (www.sanmargroup.com), a global billion-dollar conglomerate headquartered in Chennai, India, with manufacturing and distribution facilities in the USA, Mexico, Egypt and at several locations across India. The Group is engaged in three key business sectors – Chemicals, Engineering and Shipping. Mr. Kumar is the Honorary Consul General of Greece in Chennai. He is on the Board of various public companies and carries with him over four decades of experience in the spheres of Electronics, Telecommunications, Engineering, Technology, Education, Management and Finance. He is the Vice President & Trustee – Treasurer of WWF-India (Worldwide Fund for Nature India). As a spokesman of Industry and Trade, he is a former President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and has participated in other apex bodies. He is the Chairman of the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is the Board Chairman of VisionSpring Foundation. Mr. Kumar has a wide range of public interests going beyond the confines of corporate management in the areas of health, social welfare, education and sports. He is the President of Bala Mandir Kamaraj Trust and Managing Trustee of The Indian Education Trust which runs Schools. He is the Chairman of Bala Mandir Foundation. Mr Kumar is an Engineering Graduate from Anna University, Chennai and a fellow member of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He is also a fellow life member of The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers and The Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers Inc., New York (IEEE).​

 Dr. Prabhati Mukherji is an experienced Ophthalmology Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the healthcare wellness and fitness industry. Skilled in Eye care Consulting, Clinical Research, Medical Education, and Healthcare Information Technology (HIT). Strong healthcare services professional postgraduate from Nagpur University Professional Experience with 30 years of experience in Clinical Ophthalmology. She has more than 3 years of teaching experience of medical undergraduate, and postgraduates. She has served as Consultant with Tele-Ophthalmology Project Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, National Rural Health Mission , and Consultant as Community Ophthalmology. She has  served as member on board of various NGOs and INGOs, and has experience n Project design and management, monitoring and evaluation.

 

3. Mr. Anshu Taneja, Chief Functionary


 








Mr. Anshu Taneja has MBAs from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (United Kingdom), and Amity Business School, Noida (India). He is also a Science Graduate from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi (India). He has several years of experience working across different countries and sectors in the variety of roles. He has had long stints with Johnson & Johnson and Karl Storz in various capacities. He has also worked with De Beers, Riders for Health, and Opera Software in the United Kingdom and Europe. He is a Fellow of the Aspire Circle, a forum for promoting enlightened social leadership. He was the Chair of Consumer, Marketing, and Healthcare of the Oxford Business Network (OBN). He was also the Member of the Hospital Planning Sectional Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). He was appointed the representative for the United Nations University (UNU) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) supported global Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) for improving women’s health in developing countries.

He is an experienced Chartered Accountant who has been working in development sector for a long time. He is having more than 15 years of working experience. He is currently Head Finance & Administration, Solidaridad South-East Asia. He is responsible for the operations for India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. Solidaridad works on creating sustainable supply chains from the producer to the consumer. He has worked at WaterAid & Orbis prior to Solidaridad. 


2. Mr. Nilamadhab Prusty, Former Trustee







 

Over 40 years of experience in holding in country as well as overseas positions of importance in government, non-government, social development, disaster management and corporate organizations, Engineering and Management as educational background and several multi disciplinary training in India and abroad, part of a select global team of eminent persons in the area of disaster management involved in the making of the Sphere standards for disaster management, founder Chairperson of Sphere India-a national coalition of disaster management organizations to promote collaborative action by government and non government organizations and advocating quality and accountability in disaster management, instrumental in the design and piloting of the Incident Response System (IRS) in India, member of several Committees/Core groups/Task Forces set up by NDMA,NIDM and MHA in the areas of disaster management, have been a trainer in various areas of disaster management, contributed significantly to the evolution of holistic and multidisciplinary approach and innovations in disaster management nationally as well as internationally.

An MBBS and MHA from Tata Institute of Social Sciences with 25 years of work experience in the filed of Poverty Alleviation, Health Care Management and Social Entrepreneurship. Now An Advisor- Social Enterprises, Institutional Development and Personal. Dr. Awale did his mmanagement at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Further, he received training in Human Processes from Indian Society of Applied Behavioral Sciences (ISABS), Group Relationship Conferences in Authority and Organisations from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmadabad. He is certified practitioner trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming from Shinota Consulting. With an experience of more than 20 years in the field of social development organizations and movements, Dr. Shailendra has facilitated and demonstrated the change in organizations and individuals across India.   


4. Mr. Keerti Bhusan Pradhan, Former Trustee



         






Mr. Pradhan has 30 years of experience in health sector program development, planning, and management. His experience began with grassroots community health program management in the Orissa state of India and expanded to managing large-scale healthcare, hospital, and capacity building programs in Asian and African countries. His experience includes working for Government, private, charity, and corporate groups. Mr. Pradhan has worked with various international agencies and centers of excellence in the healthcare sector. Before taking up the freelance consultant’s role for eye hospitals in Asia and Africa, Mr. Pradhan was a Senior Consultant of management and capacity building at the renowned eye hospital in South India, Aravind Eye Care System (ACES) (http://www.aravind.org/), a WHO collaborating center for prevention of blindness, heading the consultancy and capacity building division at LAICO (Lions Aravind Institute of Community Ophthalmology).

 


5. Ms. Nina Chatrath , Trustee











Ms. Nina Chatrath is a founder of Enhance Consulting, a boutique Leadership Consulting firm based in New Delhi.  She is an Independent Director on the Board of listed companies -Oriental Hotels Limited (A Tata Group Company) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Limited (DSIL). Currently she serves as the Chairperson of the Stakeholder Relationship committee at the Oriental Hotels Limited, plus on the Audit, NRC, Risk and Stakeholder relationship committee member in DSIL. Ms. Chatrath was also on the Board of CMR –Century Metal Recycling in the capacity of an Independent Director for a period of 2 years from 2018-2020. Being the Chairperson of NRC-Nominations and Renumeration committeeshe set forth the NRC agenda and drafted the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policy, among others. Ms. Chatrath has equipped herself to carry on the onerous duties of an ID by successfully qualifying the online proficiency test held by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, under the aegis of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. Additionally, she was a part of Women on Corporate Boards –FICCI Mentorship Program, in 2017. She has also successfully participated in a 4-month program run by Institute of Directors –Building Tomorrow’s Boards, making her a member of the Institute. 6.  Ms. Drushti R. Desai, Trustee












Ms. Drushti R. Desai, a Chartered Accountant with 26 years of experience., is a partner at Bansi S. Mehta & Co. She qualified with an all-India rank in 1996. In June 2023 she did a certificate course on ‘Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies’ from Cambridge University. Her areas of practice include corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions —advisory and valuations, direct tax advisory, succession planning and family arrangements. She has served as an Independent Director on the Boards of several listed and unlisted public companies engaged in the manufacturing, IT and insurancesectors. Ms Desai has a rich blend of experience in valuations and corporate restructuring, and has advised on transactions of India’s largest, publicly- listed companies within the telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing and consumer product industries. She has provided valuation advisory services for intangible assets, open offers, shares held under FEMA and for transfer pricing studies. She is independent director on the boards of several listed and public companies. Ms Desai served as the Vice Chairperson (Western India Region) of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) during 2021-22. As a member of the subgroup formed under the Valuation Standards Board, she actively contributed to the drafting of the standards. She oversaw the collation of the WIRC reference manual, 2020-21 and has contributed many articles and lectured on her areas of focus
